Responsibility
- Conduct high-quality, one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in designated subject areas (STEM, Humanities, or Test Prep).
- Create dynamic, tailored lesson plans that address individual student learning gaps and goals.
- Administer diagnostic assessments and meticulously track student progress, providing detailed weekly reports to parents and academic advisors.
- Collaborate with school counselors and family members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational strategy.
- Design and implement engaging curriculum materials, including practice tests, problem sets, and enrichment activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and team meetings to continuously enhance instructional quality.
- Maintain a professional, motivating, and supportive learning environment both in-person and via our virtual learning platforms.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, a specific academic discipline (Mathematics, English, Chemistry, etc.), or a related field. Master's Degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven, successful experience in tutoring, teaching, or academic coaching at the high school or collegiate level.
- Expert-level knowledge in your subject area, with a genuine passion for conveying complex ideas in an accessible manner.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in raising student standardized test scores (SAT, ACT, AP) and overall GPAs.
- High proficiency with educational technology, Learning Management Systems, and virtual tutoring tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).
- Patience, empathy, and a growth mindset, with the ability to inspire confidence and academic curiosity in students from all backgrounds.
- Valid teaching certification or equivalent advanced credential is a strong plus.
