Responsibility
- Hand-cut and construct bespoke suits, jackets, trousers, and waistcoats to the highest Savile Row standards.
- Conduct precise client fittings, making intricate adjustments to achieve a flawless silhouette.
- Master the art of hand-sewing techniques including buttonholes, pad stitching, and pick stitching.
- Collaborate with the design and cutting teams to ensure seamless project workflow.
- Mentor junior tailors and apprentices, preserving traditional craftsmanship techniques.
- Manage multiple client orders simultaneously, ensuring strict adherence to delivery deadlines.
- Select and inspect high-quality fabrics, maintaining the workshop's material inventory.
Qualification
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a tailor within a high-end bespoke environment (Savile Row experience highly preferred).
- Comprehensive knowledge of traditional hand tailoring methods and pattern cutting.
- Exceptional sewing skills with a portfolio demonstrating intricate hand-finishing details.
- Proven ability to perform client fittings and execute complex alterations.
- Strong understanding of various premium fabrics (cashmere, vicuña, mohair) and their handling.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Relevant tailoring qualifications or formally recognized apprenticeship certification.
