Responsibility
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and open surgeries, with precision and care.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions requiring surgical intervention.
- Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and provide comprehensive post-operative care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop optimal treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous medical education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in surgical techniques.
- Manage patient flow and assist in the training of medical residents and interns when applicable.
Qualification
- Graduation from an accredited medical school (MD or DO degree).
- Completion of a residency program in General Surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Surgery.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New York.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
