Responsibility
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
- Execute a wide range of open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted general surgical procedures.
- Provide compassionate pre-operative and post-operative patient management and education.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, hospital staff, and allied health professionals.
- Supervise and mentor surgical residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers.
- Actively participate in quality assurance, clinical research, and surgical outcome reviews.
- Ensure strict adherence to sterile protocols, patient safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
Qualification
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Unrestricted New York State Medical License and DEA registration.
- Successful completion of a residency program in General Surgery.
- Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive, Colorectal, or Bariatric Surgery is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of clinical excellence and positive patient outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on patient rapport.
- Eligibility for malpractice insurance and hospital credentialing.
