Responsibility
- Perform complex cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, and minimally invasive procedures
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in pre-operative planning and post-operative care protocols
- Contribute to clinical research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor surgical fellows and residents in advanced techniques
- Participate in hospital committees to improve surgical outcomes and patient safety
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology on hybrid procedures
- Develop new surgical approaches through innovation grants
Qualification
- Board-certified in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery (ABS)
- Fellowship-trained in Adult Cardiac Surgery with 5+ years' experience
- Active NY medical license and DEA registration
- Proven expertise in robotic-assisted cardiac procedures
- Strong academic record with peer-reviewed publications
- Excellent communication skills for patient consultations
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, high-acuity environment
