Responsibility
- Process customer transactions accurately using POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments
- Scan and bag merchandise efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
- Resolve customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and price verification
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkout lane and surrounding sales floor
- Operate cash register, reconcile cash drawers, and report discrepancies
- Support front-end operations by returning merchandise and restocking shelves
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior retail/cashier experience preferred
- Basic math proficiency and comfort handling cash transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Reliable attendance and punctuality with flexible availability
- Proficiency with basic point-of-sale technology and willingness to learn new systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling payments and inventory
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
