Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal care including examinations, screenings, and patient education
- Attend labor and delivery, managing normal births and collaborating with physicians for high-risk situations
- Offer postpartum care and breastfeeding support to new mothers
- Conduct annual exams, family planning consultations, and gynecological care
- Educate patients on nutrition, infant care, and family planning options
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs
Qualification
- Active RN and CNM license in the state of Oregon
- Master's degree in Nursing or Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years of midwifery experience in a clinical setting
- Current NPR certification and DEA registration
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
