We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife to provide exceptional prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women throughout their pregnancy journey.
As a key member of our collaborative healthcare team, you will work alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver personalized, evidence-based midwifery care that honors each woman's birth preferences and cultural needs. Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal care including routine examinations, screenings, and patient education on nutrition, exercise, and childbirth preparation
- Manage labor and delivery in the hospital setting, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being and collaborating with physicians for high-risk situations
- Offer postpartum care including breastfeeding support, newborn care education, and emotional wellbeing assessments
- Conduct annual gynecologic exams, family planning consultations, and contraceptive counseling for patients across the lifespan
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record system and maintain detailed medical records
- Participate in community outreach programs and educational workshops to promote women's health awareness
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and optimal outcomes
Qualification
- Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon with current RN licensure in good standing
- Graduate degree (MSN or DNPM) from an accredited nurse-midwifery education program recognized by the ACNM
- Current certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) as a Certified Nurse Midwife
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in labor and delivery or midwifery practice preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in fetal monitoring, labor management, and emergency obstetric interventions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred) and experience with diverse patient populations is a plus
