Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to low-risk patients
- Conduct deliveries in our birth center and hospital collaborations
- Perform newborn assessments and initial breastfeeding support
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications within scope
- Develop individualized birth plans and patient education materials
- Collaborate with OB/GYNs for high-risk referrals
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and regulatory compliance
Qualification
- Active Advanced Practice Nurse Midwife (APNM) license in Texas
- ACNM or AMCB certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in midwifery
- BLS and NRP certifications
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and cultural humility
