Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive, full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman gynecology.
  • Manage low- and moderate-risk pregnancies, collaborating with physicians for high-risk consultations as needed.
  • Attend births in our state-of-the-art birth center and partner hospitals, supporting physiological birth and informed choices.
  • Perform newborn assessments and provide immediate postpartum care for parent and baby.
  • Educate and counsel clients on family planning, nutrition, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualification

  • Graduate of an accredited nurse-midwifery education program (Masters or Doctorate required).
  • Current, unencumbered RN and APRN licenses in Oregon, with CNM certification from the AMCB.
  • DEA certification and ability to prescribe medications under Oregon protocol.
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-scope midwifery experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.
  • Demonstrated competency in managing labor, birth, and postpartum emergencies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and shared decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to providing culturally sensitive, inclusive care to a diverse patient population.
