Responsibility
- Manage a full patient panel, providing comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care in a birth center setting.
- Conduct thorough assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop patient-centered, evidence-based care plans.
- Attend labor and deliveries, performing spontaneous vaginal deliveries, episiotomies, and repairs as needed.
- Provide well-woman care, including routine gynecological exams, contraceptive counseling, and menopausal management.
- Empower patients through compassionate education on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and early parenting.
- Collaborate with our integrated team of physicians, nurses, doulas, and lactation consultants to ensure seamless, holistic care.
- Accurately document all patient encounters in our advanced Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Actively participate in quality assurance, peer review, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
Qualification
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse-Midwifery program (MSN or DNP required).
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Texas.
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (must maintain throughout employment).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in full-scope midwifery practice.
- Excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for women's health, patient advocacy, and shared decision-making.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
