Responsibility

  • Review and interpret physician orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
  • Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage, side effects, and interactions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of controlled substances.
  • Provide drug information and education to patients and medical staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.

Qualification

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, or similar).
  • Immunization certification required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
