Responsibility
- Review and interpret physician orders for appropriateness and accuracy.
- Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage, side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of controlled substances.
- Provide drug information and education to patients and medical staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, or similar).
- Immunization certification required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
