Responsibility
- Set, haul, and maintain fishing nets and gear according to industry standards.
- Operate and maintain deck machinery and equipment safely.
- Sort, clean, and process caught fish on deck or in processing areas.
- Assist with navigation and vessel operations as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate records of catch data and gear usage.
- Collaborate with crew members to ensure efficient and productive trips.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial fishing.
- Valid Commercial Fishing License (or ability to obtain).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work long hours in harsh conditions.
- Knowledge of fishing techniques and gear maintenance.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Familiarity with vessel safety equipment and procedures.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
