Responsibility
- Perform general labor duties such as loading/unloading materials, site cleanup, and organizing tools and equipment.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks on the job site.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., drills, saws, nail guns, compactors).
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines, maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and project plans under supervision.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and other materials as directed.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and temporary structures.
- Ensure the quality of work meets company standards and client specifications.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or a related field preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to various job sites across the Austin metro area.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic with a 'safety first' mindset.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
