Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry standards
- Respond to security incidents and coordinate with IT teams to contain, eradicate, and recover from breaches
- Perform threat intelligence research and stay current with evolving cyber threats and attack methodologies
- Configure and manage security tools including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection
- Create detailed security reports and present findings to stakeholders with actionable recommendations
- Assist in compliance audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as SOC2 and ISO 27001
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security analysis
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or SANS/GIAC credentials preferred
- Proficiency with security frameworks including NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP
- Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and packet analyzers
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
