Responsibility
- Monitor security events and incidents using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security alerts, determining root cause and impact.
- Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and procedures.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across network and application layers.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to embed security into design and deployment processes.
- Maintain compliance with ISOâŻ27001, PCIâDSS, and GDPR standards.
- Produce detailed reports for senior leadership and recommend remediation actions.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2+ years of handsâon experience in a security operations or incident response role.
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and endpoint detection solutions.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation strategies.
- Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash) is highly advantageous.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate security risks to both technical and nonâtechnical stakeholders.
