Responsibility
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Common Core standards
- Create inclusive classroom environment accommodating diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress through formative/summative evaluations
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and specialists on curriculum development
- Communicate student progress to parents via conferences and digital platforms
- Integrate technology and STEM activities into daily instruction
- Participate in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid NY State Teaching Certification (Elementary K-6)
- Minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience
- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
- Proficiency in educational technology (Google Classroom, Clever)
- Experience with project-based learning and social-emotional learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background check and fingerprint clearance
