Are you a seasoned entrepreneur ready to launch your next venture? NextGen Ventures is seeking an innovative Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to join our team in San Francisco. As an EIR, you will lead the ideation, validation, and launch of new business concepts within our venture studio. Youâll have access to our network, capital, and resources to build a scalable startup from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to create impact while leveraging the support of an experienced team.
Responsibility
- Identify and evaluate high-potential business opportunities in emerging markets.
- Develop and test hypotheses through customer discovery and market analysis.
- Build minimal viable products (MVPs) and iterate based on feedback.
- Recruit and lead a founding team, fostering a culture of innovation and execution.
- Secure seed funding and forge strategic partnerships.
- Manage project milestones, budgets, and investor reporting.
- Present progress and pitches to the investment committee and external stakeholders.
Qualification
- Proven track record as a founder or early-stage startup leader; successful exit preferred.
- Deep expertise in a high-growth industry (e.g., fintech, healthtech, SaaS).
- Ability to source and validate business ideas with a data-driven approach.
- Strong network within the venture capital and startup ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for pitches and presentations.
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelorâs degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco Bay Area.
