Responsibility
- Deliver individualized and small-group tutoring sessions tailored to each student's academic needs and goals.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and discussions, adjusting lesson plans accordingly.
- Develop engaging learning materials, study guides, and practice exercises to reinforce core concepts.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student achievements and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to align instruction with school standards and exam requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that builds learner confidence and academic independence.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, a subject specialty (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science), or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of tutoring or teaching experience, preferably with K-12 or college students.
- Strong command of core academic subjects and familiarity with current curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse learners.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
- Reliable transportation to our New York City center and availability for afternoon and evening hours.
- Teaching certification or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
- Must pass a background check and provide professional references.
