Responsibility
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, and wheat, using modern equipment and techniques.
- Monitor and manage livestock health, nutrition, and breeding programs to ensure optimal productivity.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, combines, and irrigation systems, performing routine inspections and repairs.
- Implement soil testing, fertilization, and pest management strategies to maximize yield and environmental sustainability.
- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and equipment usage, and report to farm management.
- Coordinate with agronomists, veterinarians, and other specialists to adopt best practices and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in agriculture, agronomy, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in farming or agricultural operations, including crop production and livestock handling.
- Strong knowledge of modern farming equipment, irrigation systems, and precision agriculture tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varied weather conditions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting.
