Job Description
Join Harvest Valley Farms as a Farm Manager and lead our team in producing high‑quality crops in the heart of California’s Central Valley. You will oversee daily farm operations, implement sustainable practices, manage staff, and ensure compliance with safety standards while driving yield improvements and cost efficiency.
Responsibility
- Plan and execute seasonal planting, irrigation, and harvest schedules to maximize crop yields.
- Supervise and mentor farm crew, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and coordinate repairs.
- Implement integrated pest management (IPM) and sustainable farming techniques.
- Track production metrics, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local agricultural regulations.
- Collaborate with agronomists and supply chain partners to optimize input usage.
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agricultural production or farm management.
- Strong knowledge of crop cycles, soil health, and irrigation systems.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to manage a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency with farm management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in agriculture preferred.
