Job Description
North Pacific Seafoods is seeking dedicated Fishermen to join our commercial fishing crew in Homer, Alaska. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of fish harvesting, from setting and hauling nets to maintaining equipment and ensuring the quality of the catch.

Responsibility
- Set, monitor, and haul fishing nets and gear according to daily quotas and regulations.
- Operate and maintain fishing equipment, including winches, traps, and deck machinery.
- Navigate vessels safely using GPS, radar, and traditional navigation techniques.
- Sort, grade, and pack fish on board to preserve freshness and quality.
- Perform routine vessel cleaning and minor repairs to keep the boat seaworthy.
- Comply with all maritime safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with the crew to maximize catch efficiency while minimizing by‑catch.
Qualification
- Previous experience in commercial fishing or equivalent maritime work is preferred.
- Valid US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) or ability to obtain.
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lb) and work in adverse weather conditions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance.
- Physical stamina and willingness to work long, irregular hours.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training a plus.
