Responsibility
- Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and colorectal surgery.
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, pre-operative assessments, and post-operative follow-ups.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and nursing staff.
- Utilize advanced robotic surgical platforms (Da Vinci Xi) to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule, providing emergency surgical care.
- Mentor surgical residents and medical students.
- Maintain meticulous electronic health records.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in General Surgery.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Surgery or Surgical Oncology preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment.
