Responsibility
- Perform complex coronary and peripheral interventions (PCI, atherectomy, thrombectomy, stenting).
- Manage acute myocardial infarction patients via the STEMI program, including on-call responsibilities.
- Interpret invasive hemodynamics, coronary angiography, and intravascular imaging.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient consultative cardiology services.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart team (CT surgeons, EP, Heart Failure) for complex cases.
- Participate in clinical trials and contribute to the institute's academic mission.
- Ensure strict adherence to clinical quality metrics and patient safety protocols.
- Supervise and mentor cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students rotating through the service.
Qualification
- Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited U.S. medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
- Advanced fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology from a high-volume academic center.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology (or board eligible with a plan to certify).
- Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License and DEA Registration.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-fellowship interventional experience preferred; exceptional new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated publication record or strong interest in clinical research.
- Outstanding clinical judgment, communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
