As a key member of our survey team, you will conduct boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction stakeout while collaborating with project managers and field crews to ensure accuracy and compliance with state regulations. Responsibility
- Perform boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys in accordance with state standards and client specifications
- Conduct construction stakeout and layout for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects
- Operate GPS, total stations, 3D laser scanners, and other precision surveying instruments
- Review deeds, plat maps, title documents, and legal descriptions to determine property boundaries
- Prepare survey reports, plats, legal descriptions, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and municipal officials on land development projects
- Ensure compliance with Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors regulations
- Mentor and train junior survey technicians and field crew members
Qualification
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the state of Texas required
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying or boundary determination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GIS software
- Experience with RTK GPS, robotic total stations, and 3D laser scanning
- Strong understanding of Texas land law, PLAT Act, and municipal zoning regulations
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
