Responsibility
- Perform complex cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve replacements, and aortic procedures
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical teams during high-acuity cases
- Develop and implement innovative surgical techniques and protocols
- Mentor junior surgeons and advance resident training programs
- Contribute to clinical research and publish peer-reviewed studies
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology on hybrid procedures
- Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives
Qualification
- Board-certified in General Surgery and Thoracic/Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiothoracic Surgery (ACGME accredited)
- 10+ years of experience in high-volume cardiac surgery
- Current Illinois medical license and DEA registration
- Proven leadership in complex surgical cases and outcomes
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications and research
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
