Responsibility
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with FDA and state regulations
- Conduct medication therapy reviews for high-risk patients with chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize drug regimens and reduce adverse events
- Mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on clinical best practices
- Implement inventory management systems to control costs while maintaining stock levels
- Participate in hospital committee meetings to improve patient safety protocols
- Utilize electronic health records to track medication outcomes and identify trends
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from ACPE-accredited institution
- Active Illinois pharmacist license with 5+ years clinical experience
- Board certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) preferred
- Proven expertise in medication safety and compounding protocols
- Strong proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, Cerner)
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives in healthcare settings
