Responsibility
- Perform complex surgical procedures including oncological resections, laparoscopic interventions, and trauma surgeries
- Lead multidisciplinary surgical teams and develop innovative treatment protocols
- Mentor and train surgical residents through structured education programs
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and surgical safety committees
- Contribute to clinical research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Collaborate with oncology, radiology, and anesthesia departments for integrated patient care
Qualification
- Board-certified in General Surgery with active medical license in New York State
- Minimum 8 years of post-residency surgical experience with emphasis in complex cases
- Fellowship training in surgical oncology or minimally invasive surgery preferred
- Proven leadership experience in surgical departments or teaching institutions
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications and research contributions
- Excellent communication skills with ability to mentor junior surgeons
