Responsibility
- Perform 15-20 complex surgical procedures weekly including laparoscopic, oncologic, and emergency interventions
- Lead multidisciplinary tumor boards and surgical strategy sessions
- Mentor 3-5 surgical residents and fellows through structured clinical training
- Drive research initiatives with dedicated 20% academic time for publications and clinical trials
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives reducing surgical complications by 15% annually
- Collaborate with interventional radiology and oncology teams for integrated care pathways
Qualification
- Board-certified in General Surgery with 5+ years of post-fellowship experience
- Fellowship training in minimally invasive or oncologic surgery
- Active medical license in Massachusetts with DEA certification
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications and clinical trial involvement
- Expertise in robotic-assisted surgery platforms (da Vinci preferred)
