Responsibility
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC standards
- Create engaging lesson plans focusing on social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain detailed documentation of children's progress and learning milestones
- Partner with parents to support children's growth through regular communication
- Lead classroom activities while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment
- Mentor assistant teachers and foster positive team dynamics
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- NY State Teacher Certification (Birth-Grade 2)
- Minimum 3 years of lead teaching experience in licensed childcare
- Strong knowledge of developmental milestones for ages 0-5
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience with NAEYC accreditation standards
- Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments
