Responsibility
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state early learning standards
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes exploration and discovery
- Document children's progress using digital portfolios and parent communication apps
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and specialists to support diverse learning needs
- Partner with families through regular conferences and classroom events
- Model positive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies
- Participate in curriculum development and center-wide initiatives
Qualification
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Valid NYS Teacher Certification (Birth-Grade 2)
- Minimum 3 years lead teaching experience in Reggio/Montessori-inspired settings
- CPR/First Aid certification and mandated reporter training
- Expertise in emergent curriculum and project-based learning approaches
- Strong understanding of NAEYC accreditation standards
- Fluency in English and Spanish a plus
