Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging lectures and labs in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
- Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry trends and research.
- Mentor students on academic and career paths, including supervising capstone projects.
- Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and project evaluations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and accreditation processes.
- Collaborate with industry partners to create internship and research opportunities for students.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives across the university.
- Maintain active scholarship and professional development in data science.
Qualification
- Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field (PhD preferred).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated expertise in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with online and hybrid instruction platforms.
- Published research or applied industry experience in data science is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
