Responsibility
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate lectures in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Develop and update course syllabi, assignments, and lab projects that reflect the latest industry trends and research.
- Mentor and advise students on academic pathways, capstone projects, and career development in the AI sector.
- Collaborate with the curriculum committee to integrate practical AI tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, LLMs) into the standard curriculum.
- Conduct office hours, assess student performance, and provide actionable feedback to foster student growth.
- Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation processes, and university-wide events representing the AI program.
- Contribute to grant writing and industry partnership development to secure funding and resources for the department.
Qualification
- A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data science or machine learning, or a strong track record of academic research.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM.
- Hands-on proficiency with Python, SQL, cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and major ML frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with curriculum design and educational technology tools (e.g., Canvas, Jupyter Notebooks, GitHub Classroom).
- Active research agenda or strong industry network preferred; publications or patents are a significant plus.
