Responsibility
- Conduct boundary surveys, topographic mapping, and construction staking for commercial and residential developments
- Manage field crews and oversee data collection using GPS, total stations, and 3D laser scanning
- Prepare and review legal descriptions, plats, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey reports
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and municipal agencies for project compliance
- Implement quality control protocols for field data and deliverables
- Train junior surveyors on emerging technologies and industry standards
- Utilize GIS software for spatial analysis and cartographic production
Qualification
- Active Texas Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license
- 5+ years of progressive land surveying experience in commercial development
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Esri ArcGIS
- Strong understanding of Texas land laws and TCEP regulations
- Proven project management skills with budget oversight capabilities
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with drone-based LiDAR and photogrammetry data collection
