Responsibility
- Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, and 3D laser scanning for construction and land development projects
- Analyze topographic data and create detailed CAD drawings using Auto Civil 3D and Civil Survey
- Manage boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, and subdivision platting
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure project accuracy and compliance
- Prepare legal descriptions and survey reports for municipal submissions
- Mentor junior surveyors and maintain quality control protocols
- Stay current with emerging survey technologies and industry regulations
Qualification
- Valid Texas Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of commercial land surveying experience
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GIS software
- Strong knowledge of FEMA floodplain mapping and TCEQ regulations
- Proven ability to lead field teams in complex terrain conditions
- Certification in UAS/drone surveying technology preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
