Responsibility
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using cutting-edge scan tools.
- Execute high-quality repairs and maintenance services on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, and climate control systems.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to ensure precise repairs the first time.
- Communicate technical findings clearly and professionally to service advisors translating complex issues for customers.
- Mentor apprentice technicians and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and high standards.
- Maintain strict compliance with shop safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and EPA/OSHA regulations.
- Efficiently manage assigned workload to ensure cars are completed on time, boosting bay cycle time.
- Stay current with evolving automotive technology through ongoing training and manufacturer certifications.
Qualification
- ASE Master Certified (A1-A8) is required; L1 certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an automotive technician in a professional shop environment.
- Valid and clean driver's license.
- Must own a comprehensive set of personal tools suitable for major repairs (tool boxes provided).
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic platforms (Snap-on, Autel, Bosch, or equivalent).
- Excellent customer service skills and professional communication aptitude.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, navigate a busy shop, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited automotive technology program strongly preferred.
