This is a flat-rate or salary plus bonus position with potential earnings well above industry average. Responsibility
- Perform in-depth diagnostics and complex repairs on engine, transmission, HVAC, and electrical systems using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid services with strict adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly and accurately to service advisors and customers to ensure transparency and trust.
- Mentor and guide apprentice technicians, sharing knowledge on best practices and efficient repair techniques.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, complying with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on evolving automotive technologies and repair methods.
- Document all work performed accurately on repair orders, including parts used, time spent, and specific findings.
Qualification
- Valid and current ASE Master Technician certification (A1-A8) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive diagnostic and repair experience in an independent or dealership setting.
- Extensive experience with European (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) and Asian (Toyota, Honda, Hyundai) platforms.
- Proven proficiency with scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters for complex electrical and network diagnostics.
- Must own a complete set of professional tools and toolbox suitable for a master technician role.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional appearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited automotive technology program is highly preferred.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
