Responsibility
- Perform accurate and efficient diagnostics on complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Execute all levels of major and minor repairs, including engine, transmission, driveline, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (lab scopes, CAN bus analyzers, OEM software) for vehicle systems.
- Clearly communicate technical findings and necessary repairs to the service advisor and customer (via video or detailed reporting).
- Mentor and guide apprentice technicians on best practices and complex repair procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Keep abreast of the latest TSBs, recalls, and technical updates from OEMs.
- Perform road tests to ensure quality control before vehicles are delivered to customers.
Qualification
- ASE Master Automobile Technician certification (A1 - A8) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive repair experience in an independent or dealership setting.
- Valid and clean State Driver's License.
- Must own a comprehensive set of tools and toolbox (Snap-On, Mac, Matco, or equivalent quality).
- Proven diagnostic ability on multiple makes (Domestic, Asian, European).
- Proficiency with shop management systems (e.g., Tekmetric, Shop-Ware, Mitchell 1).
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical college degree preferred.
