Responsibility
- Take precise measurements and create detailed patterns for custom garments
- Cut and construct high-quality suits, blazers, coats, and formal wear using traditional and modern techniques
- Perform fittings and adjustments to ensure perfect fit and client satisfaction
- Consult with clients to understand their style preferences, fabric choices, and special requirements
- Maintain and operate industrial sewing machines, overlock machines, and handâstitching tools
- Inspect finished pieces for quality, ensuring every seam, buttonhole, and stitch meets exacting standards
Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in custom tailoring or bespoke garment construction
- Proficiency in pattern making, fitting, and alteration techniques
- Advanced handâstitching skills and ability to work with a wide range of fabrics (wool, silk, linen, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering flawless finished products
- Excellent communication and customerâservice skills for client consultations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional tailoring certification is a plus
