Bright Futures Tutoring is seeking a passionate Math and Science Tutor to join our Manhattan team. Responsibility
- Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s learning style and goals.
- Teach math and science concepts, including algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, and physics, at various skill levels.
- Monitor and assess student progress through quizzes, tests, and homework reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff to share best practices and resources.
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and student performance data.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience, preferably with middle or high school students.
- Strong knowledge of math and science curricula and standardized test content (SAT, ACT, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and families.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Proficiency in using online teaching tools and platforms.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to student success.
