Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized testing across various departments, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality control guidelines. You will work closely with medical technologists and pathologists to contribute to the effective operation of our high-volume laboratory.

Responsibility

  • Perform chemical, hematological, and immunological analyses on body fluids and specimens.
  • Prepare and stain slides for microscopic examination and cell counts.
  • Operate and maintain automated laboratory equipment such as analyzers and centrifuges.
  • Record and verify patient data and test results, ensuring precision in documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain laboratory supply inventory and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Participate in quality control programs and proficiency testing to ensure accurate results.

Qualification

  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related biological science field.
  • Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and quality assurance standards.
  • Proficiency with standard laboratory equipment and computer software.
  • Excellent visual acuity, manual dexterity, and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
