Boston Diagnostics Lab is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our stateāofātheāart clinical laboratory in Boston, MA. Responsibility
- Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
- Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens (blood, urine, tissue) ensuring proper labeling and preservation.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Record, verify, and report test results using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs, including proficiency testing and internal audits.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to interpret test findings and provide clinical consultation.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current certification (e.g., ASCP MLT or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 1ā2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems and standard laboratory equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and laboratory standards.
