Responsibility
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Conduct quality control procedures and troubleshoot any irregularities.
- Prepare and analyze patient specimens following strict protocols.
- Document and report test results to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of lab supplies.
- Participate in continuing education and lab improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of lab safety and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
