Responsibility
- Perform routine and advanced laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and report abnormalities to supervising physicians.
- Follow strict quality control and safety protocols in accordance with CLIA and regulatory standards.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to troubleshoot and resolve test discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory of reagents and supplies, ordering as needed to avoid shortages.
- Participate in continuing education and proficiency testing to stay current with industry advancements.
Qualification
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Valid certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from ASCP, AMT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
