Responsibility
- Perform routine and complex testing on blood, tissue, and other specimens using automated analyzers and manual techniques.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP).
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Analyze test results, identifying abnormalities and reporting critical values to pathologists immediately.
- Document all procedures and results accurately in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Participate in internal quality control and proficiency testing programs.
- Assist in the training and orientation of new laboratory staff members.
Qualification
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP-MLT or AMT) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in hematology, chemistry, and microbiology.
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.
