Responsibility
- Design and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with New York State standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through quizzes, lab reports, and projects.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams to develop interdisciplinary curriculum.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress with parents.
- Integrate technology effectively into the learning process.
- Participate in professional development workshops and school events.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related Science field (Master’s preferred).
- New York State Teaching Certification (Middle School Science, Grades 5-9).
- Previous teaching experience in a middle school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for science education.
