Responsibility
- Operate fishing vessels safely and efficiently in open waters
- Maintain and repair fishing equipment (nets, lines, traps)
- Adhere to sustainable fishing practices and catch quotas
- Record daily catches and maintain accurate logbooks
- Coordinate with processing team for immediate catch handling
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations
Qualification
- Minimum 3 years professional fishing experience
- Certification in maritime safety and first aid
- Knowledge of local fish species and migration patterns
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid skipper's license (Surat Tanda Nelayah Profesional)
- Strong swimming ability and sea survival skills
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
