Responsibility
- Develop project plans, timelines, and methodologies for boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary field teams, ensuring safe and efficient data collection.
- Conduct rigorous QA/QC on survey data, calculations, and final deliverables.
- Research legal records, deeds, and historical maps to resolve complex boundary issues.
- Prepare and sign final plats, survey maps, and legal documents.
- Manage client relationships, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance.
- Implement and optimize workflows for next-gen surveying tech (UAV, Mobile Mapping).
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and Texas state surveying laws.
Qualification
- Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Texas (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in land surveying, with 3+ years in a lead/supervisory capacity.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and GIS software.
- Deep understanding of ALTA/NSPS, boundary law, easements, and property rights.
- Proven track record of successful project management, from proposal to closeout.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
