Responsibility
- Develop and deliver graduate/undergraduate courses in machine learning, statistical modeling, and big data analytics
- Lead cutting-edge research initiatives in AI ethics, predictive analytics, or data visualization
- Secure external funding through NSF, NIH, and industry partnerships
- Mentor graduate students and supervise thesis/dissertation projects
- Collaborate with healthcare, finance, and tech industry partners for applied research
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental strategic planning
- Publish in top-tier journals (e.g., Nature ML, JMLR) and present at premier conferences
Qualification
- PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of postdoctoral or industry research experience
- Proven record of peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals
- Experience securing external research funding ($500K+ preferred)
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching with student evaluations above 4.0/5.0
- Expertise in Python, R, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Commitment to DEI initiatives and evidence-based pedagogy
- Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Data Science, TensorFlow Developer) a plus
