Responsibility
- Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer combination to transport freight across regional routes (typically TX, LA, OK, AR, MS).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Securely load and unload freight, including the use of pallet jacks, lift gates, and performing manual labor as required, with cargo handling and loading/unloading pay available.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, and other shipping documents in compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pick-ups and deliveries, acting as the face of the company on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to manage schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and fleet maintenance programs.
Qualification
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum of 12 months of verified Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- No serious traffic violations (speeding 15 mph+, reckless driving) in the past 5 years.
- Clean DOT record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Must be at least 23 years of age (per insurance requirements).
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with freight handling.
- Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements are highly preferred.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and a commitment to safety.
